How we make money

WealthPercentile is free to use. It is paid for by advertising and, for some countries, by partner links. This page explains how that works.

Display ads

Ads on the site are served by an advertising network and are always labelled “Advertisements” (on Norwegian pages: “Annonser”). We do not choose individual ads, and advertisers have no influence on the numbers or the methodology.

Partner links

Some pages show offers from financial companies, marked “Advertisement” and the partner’s name. If you open an account or sign up through such a link, the partner may pay us a commission, at no cost to you. Which offer you see depends on the country (or, when you compare with the world, your currency), the measure and, after a calculation, your rank band. On the calculator this is decided in your browser; country and answer pages show the same offers to everyone. Your amounts are never sent to a partner.

Partners do not pay for rankings, cannot change results and are not endorsed by the statistics we use. Nothing on the site is personal financial advice: compare costs, risks and terms yourself before you choose a provider.

Sponsorships

We may offer clearly labelled sponsorships, for example of a country page or the newsletter. Sponsored content is always marked as advertising. See advertise with us.

What we never do

• Sell or share what you type into the calculator.
• Let anyone pay for a better or worse rank, or for changes to the data.
• Use person-level rich lists.
